Marco, the host, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. the building itself had a unique charm, with its mostly brick structure. the neighborhood felt safe and had everything I needed, from shops and banks to cafes. Plus, the beach was just a 5-minute walk away! Even arriving late at 2:30 am was no problem, as the reception was readily available with just a ring of the bell. El Sunset provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Despite the dorm beds being slightly uncomfortable, we still managed to have good sleeps thanks to the fans provided. El Sunset provided a sweet and super affordable stay in Puerto Vallarta.

The hostel had a laid-back and peaceful atmosphere, making it a relaxing place to stay. Despite some minor issues like the need for more power outlets and privacy curtains on the beds, Marco was actively working on improving the hostel's appearance and comfort. we had a great time and would recommend this hostel to others.

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The gorgeous old Mexican house provided loads of space, ensuring privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the owner was really cool to hang out with. The hostel is a result of his hard work, with constant progress and improvements. The location was perfect, away from the noise of touristy areas, yet very close to public transportation, including easy access to the beach and local conveniences.

I had an amazing stay at this gorgeous Mexican house, El Sunset. the owner's hard work is evident in every corner of the hostel. the female dorm room was spacious and comfortable, with fans and electrical sockets for each bed. the outdoor spaces were perfect for relaxing and socializing. the location was convenient, close to bars, restaurants, and a short walk to the beach. And let's not forget about Vikingo, the adorable hostel dog.
