My stay at El Sunset was fantastic. Marco, the host, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The building itself had a unique charm, with its mostly brick structure. The neighborhood felt safe and had everything I needed, from shops and banks to cafes. Plus, the beach was just a 5-minute walk away! Even arriving late at 2:30 am was no problem, as the reception was readily available with just a ring of the bell. El Sunset provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Despite the dorm beds being slightly uncomfortable, we still managed to have good sleeps thanks to the fans provided. El Sunset provided a sweet and super affordable stay in Puerto Vallarta.

Despite some minor issues like the need for more power outlets and privacy curtains on the beds, Marco was actively working on improving the hostel's appearance and comfort. we had a great time and would recommend this hostel to others.
