As a traveler looking for a unique and stimulating experience, Hostal Zocalo was the perfect choice. The historic building, originally a colonial soldiers barracks, added an atmospheric touch to my stay. The roof terrace was excellent, offering stunning views, and the breakfast options, especially the chiliquiles and omelet, were delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making me feel at home throughout my 6-night stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel facilities were great, with a nice rooftop and a restaurant serving delicious fish tacos and guacamole. The staff was friendly and always willing to help, making us feel right at home. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, with usually clean toilets and towels provided. Additionally, the location was perfect, being quite close to the ADO bus station and within walking distance of all the attractions in the city center.

The female dorm had limited charging outlets, which was inconvenient for multiple guests. there were some issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms and toilets.

I recently stayed at a hostel in the city center plaza and had a great experience. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the action. The rooftop terrace was a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the views. I appreciated the free water refills and the availability of free bananas, even though they were sometimes covered in fruit flies. The beds were comfortable and I felt secure with the availability of lockers. The breakfast included in the price was delicious, especially when enjoyed while overlooking the Zocalo square. Despite some minor issues like a small room and occasional noise from outside, overall I will recommend this hostel.

We had an amazing stay at this lovely old building with the best location. the beautiful balcony was perfect for enjoying meals and cocktails while watching a festival. the hotel had clean rooms, good WiFi, and great value. the staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional. the building itself was superb, with many relaxing areas and a top terrace. the breakfast was delicious and we loved being able to choose from the menu. we highly recommend Hostal Zocalo.
