The views from the hotel were breathtaking and the beach was beautiful. the water was crystal clear and perfect for snorkeling, which was a highlight of our trip. the free breakfast provided was surprisingly good, with a variety of options to choose from. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore. the location of the hotel was ideal, close to popular attractions and amenities. We were able to easily access everything we wanted to see and do during our stay.

The rooms were outdated and in need of renovations. the plumbing was especially problematic, with low water pressure and slow-to-warm showers.

The beach area has comfortable palapas with lounge chairs where you can relax and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. The hotel rooms are equipped with internet access, and I was pleasantly surprised to find beautiful towel animals on the bed each day. The staff here were incredibly friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the adjacent dive shop was excellent, providing exceptional service and even taking solo divers out if no one else signed up. This attention to customer satisfaction was truly impressive.

There was only one minor inconvenience I experienced during my stay at this hotel. There were some loud banging and slamming noises starting fairly early in the morning, despite check out time not being until noon.

The SCUBA diving experience was excellent, leaving right from the hotel's pier. The hotel was immaculate and the maid service was great. The updates to the outdoor bar and restaurant were nice touches. The quality of the food and drinks was top-notch, and the wait staff was always friendly and greeted us with a smile. Coming back to a clean room with towel art and flowers was a delight. we had a memorable and perfect stay at Playa Azul.

We had a great time at this beachfront hotel. the room had all the necessary amenities and was always clean. the pool area was beautiful and well, maintained. We enjoyed the continual maintenance and the fact that the hotel is located on a quiet side of the island. the staff members were extremely helpful and friendly, making our stay pleasant and trouble, free. the hotel's location is perfect, with a lovely three, mile walk into town or a quick and inexpensive cab ride. An added advantage was the tasty buffet breakfast offered each morning.

One of the downsides of our stay was that the hotel seemed a bit dated. However, this did not bother us too much.
