The Tignna suite, located on the top floor, was our favorite with its abundance of natural light and a luxurious two-person bathtub. The rooftop terrace was a serene spot to relax and enjoy the sunset, and the friendly staff even made restaurant reservations for us. we highly recommend Riad Dar Maya and hope to return in the future.

our stay at essaouira was amazing, but staying at dar maya was the highlight! everything was easy and stress-free, from the communication to the beautiful room and helpful staff. gareth, the owner, gave us great tips and the rooftop terrace was lovely. breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it!

Bath water wasn't warm enough.

The rooftop plunge pool was so sick, with sick views of the ocean and the town's gleaming white minarets. We felt like VIPs with the whole riad to ourselves - it was perfect for our private party. Best. Vacation. Ever.

The only thing we would've asked for is a bigger sound system for our party. The music was banging, but we needed more bass to really get the party going.
