Spent New Year's Eve at a hotel near Amsterdam airport and it was perfect. the breakfast had a lot of options and even complementary champagne which was a lovely touch. the hotel was in a nice quiet area only a short distance from the airport, making it convenient for flights in and out. the staff were extremely hospitable and made us feel very welcome.

That the location was quite far from the city center of Amsterdam, so it took us a while to get there by public transport. there weren't many nearby stores or restaurants for quick meals, but this wasn't too much of an issue since we were mostly focused on exploring the city.
