I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Sloterdijk and it was perfect for both reaching the airport and the city center. The hotel's location, right in front of Sloterdijk station, allowed for easy access to both Amsterdam Central Station and Schiphol Airport within 5 minutes. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The price was also very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. We had a fantastic stay at this place! The hotel is in close proximity to the metro and just a few steps away from Sloterdijk station. The location is perfect for exploring the city with easy access to public transportation. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, providing us with amenities such as ironing facilities and tea and coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast was delicious and the bar/lounge area was a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink.

Although the staff at the reception desk could have provided a more complete service, they were still helpful in all possible manners, from printouts to scheduling trips to any monument or location. The hotel also has leisure facilities such as a TV room, free Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour reception which is handy for late check-in/-out.

The breakfast was varied and generous, with plenty of options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the selection of juices. The location near the train station made it very easy to explore the city. This hotel is a perfect choice for a city break. You cannot beat its excellent location, being literally right by the train station and close to the centre of the city. In fact, it’s just in front of the Sloterdijk station, which makes it super easy to take the tram 12 to Leidseplein or the Museum areas. The rooms are simple and clean, and the showers are amazing. The breakfast is also great, with lots of delicious options to choose from. Plus, the hotel has facilities such as a safe in the room.

One downside to note is that the cleanliness of the room was not up to par, with some areas not being cleaned properly and dirt and dust present throughout.

Having to ring the buzzer every time we returned to the hotel. It would have been more convenient if the reception was on the ground floor or if we could access the hotel with our room key.
