This hotel is perfectly located right in the center of Groningen, just in the main square next to the Martini tower. The value for money is excellent, with great facilities and lovely furniture in the rooms. The staff are welcoming and always ready to help. The breakfast is delicious, with a variety of hot dishes and continental options, and the hot drinks are always available.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel offered an upgraded room, which was spacious and comfortable. The bed was soft and the bathroom was large, providing a relaxing environment. The staff at the reception were welcoming and even left a thoughtful note on our bed, which added a personal touch to our stay.

Parking can be a bit complicated, with no on-street parking available and the nearest car park being a 10-minute walk away.

I had a great experience at De Doelen. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the Grote Markt. Even though I requested a quiet room, there was some occasional noise from other guests, but it didn't bother me much. The hotel has a cozy lounge area with a fireplace, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea. The receptionist who greeted me was attentive and friendly. The soup I ordered from the restaurant next door was delicious, and breakfast was also great. I had a pleasant stay.

the noise from the street was very loud and made it hard to sleep at night. the soundproofing in the room was poor, and I could hear the noise from other rooms as well.
