Breakfast had great variety and was located in a calm area near the highway. Personnel were pleasant. Locked bike shed provided security for bikes. Rooms had tea facilities and were soundproof. Air conditioning worked well and the bathroom was impressive.

I recently stayed at a hotel located on the route to or from the Afsluitdijk, whether by car or bike. The hotel, known for its functional style, had a modern feel to it. The room was comfortable, with a decent size and a nice bed. The wifi worked well, although occasionally a little slow. I really appreciated the locked bike shed, which kept our tandem dry and safe. The dining room was very large and packed at lunchtime, although we skipped lunch. However, both dinner and breakfast were above average in terms of quality and price. I had a great experience at Van Der Valk Hotel.
