We loved the unique experience of staying in a bamboo cabin surrounded by a wild jungle garden. The handmade furniture and gorgeous views of the lake from the upstairs apartment were amazing. The cabin was cool and comfortable, and the well-equipped kitchen was a bonus. The location allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. Che, our host, was friendly and passionate about Ometepe, making our stay even more memorable.

We had a fabulous stay at Bamboo! the bamboo hut was simply amazing, with stunning views of the island and a perfect location close to nature. Che, the host, was an absolute legend! We enjoyed chatting with him and learning about the local community and his place. the cabin itself was unique and well-designed, with beautiful handmade furniture and a cool natural flow of air. the kitchen was well-equipped, and there were also great restaurants nearby. We highly recommend staying at El Bamboo Cabins for an authentic and unforgettable experience in Ometepe.

had a fantastic stay at a cabin in Balgue. Great location near the lake with stunning sunset views of the volcano. Friendly hosts provided lots of helpful information on tours and activities. Spacious cabin with a well-equipped kitchen and hot shower. Would highly recommend!

Noise from dogs and nearby music during the night was bothersome.

We had a wonderful stay during our romantic escape. The cabins were made from natural materials, which added a unique charm to our experience. The close proximity to the beach allowed us to wake up to the calming sounds of the waves and roosters. Additionally, the host was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering us recommendations for nearby dining options without us having to ask. We also appreciated the free drinking water available on request.

There were a few downsides to our stay. The cabins were not very noise or light resistant, which meant we were occasionally disturbed by other guests returning late at night and by the sounds of animals around the area.
