From the moment I arrived, the warmth of the staff shone through. I was delighted with my room's clean, minimalist design and the convenience of room access via code lock. Breakfast became a favorite ritual. every morning, I savored an exceptional variety of options that kept my energy high for exploring Longyearbyen. The communal area invited cozy chats by the fire, and the unique on-site sushi restaurant was a welcome surprise!

One quirk to note is the off-shoe policy. you'll want easy-to-remove footwear. While the central location had its perks, it also meant some street noise. Although not a deal-breaker for my stay, anyone sensitive to sounds may want to consider this.

The breakfast offerings were exceptional, featuring daily variations that kept me energized for exploring Longyearbyen.

Limited flat surfaces and storage space in the room made it challenging to organize my belongings, especially with winter gear.

Superb location in the heart of town, just across from the supermarket. The breakfast spread was awesome, with plenty of choices daily. The kettle in the room was perfect for a late-night tea after exploring!

Nothing to improve upon.

Clean and comfy rooms with great blackout curtains! Conveniently located near shops and restaurants. The felt slippers at the door were a cute touch, making me feel all fancy!

Only minus was having to ditch my shoes at the door—who knew I’d be on a slipper adventure? Also, I might’ve needed a desk but I managed just fine without it!

Perfect location right in front of the town center! My room was cozy, but let’s be real, it was a bit tight for a twirl or two. And those nice slippers at the entrance? Quite the fancy touch!

Oh, the buffet breakfast was like déjà vu every morning! I could have sworn the same eggs were staring back at me every day—quite the replay!

svalbard hotell is in a prime location right next to the grocery store and restaurants, making everything super convenient. the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. i loved that the airport shuttle bus stop was just across the street, which made getting around easy. my room was comfy and just the right size for a solo traveler.
