Helpful reception staff. Convenient location near football stadium and train station. Swift processing of early check-in request. Comfortable and well-decorated hotel. Good breakfast with conscious waste management. Excellent English-speaking receptionist. Lovely views from corner room. Enjoyable beetroot and ginger shots

During Christmas, my partner and I stayed at a hotel by the waterfront which made it easy to find when driving from the airport. The hotel had a grand reception area with pleasant staff. Our room had a large and comfortable bed and we were able to watch English language programmes on TV during our stay. the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of hot and cold options.

Despite the positives, the hotel was old and rundown. The fittings were deteriorating and the lift was shaky.

We had a great experience at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The staff at the reception were extremely friendly and efficient, ensuring that our check-in process was quick and hassle-free. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded to a better room than initially booked, which was a lovely touch. The hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city center, and we particularly enjoyed the beautiful view of the Telemark canal from our room.
