Nestled in a tranquil location surrounded by breathtaking views, Atea Lodge offers a truly immersive experience. The beautifully designed rooms feature comfortable sofas and blankets on the balcony, allowing guests to soak in the stunning sunrise and sunset. The impeccable attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the room amenities that connect with nature to the warm and welcoming hospitality of the hosts. In the late afternoon, we were pleasantly surprised when offered a complimentary homemade pizza and wedges, a delicious treat after a day of exploring. the location provides easy access to a variety of activities and sites, ensuring a memorable stay.

It's a shame that the availability of decaf coffee was not initially provided, although the hosts went out of their way to accommodate the request the next morning.

During Christmas, we stayed in a location with stunning views that were to die for. We enjoyed the clear view of the driving railway and beautiful surroundings. Our room gave us easy access to it. the pillows offered heavenly comfort and the breakfast served was nothing short of delicious. the well-kept outdoor environment gave us the chance to explore the area and get into nature.

One downside could have been the challenge of getting to the property. the driveway was long and quite steep, meaning that having a vehicle was a must-have.

I had the most incredible experience at a lodge in a stunning part of New Zealand. The lodge was situated in a perfect spot, overlooking the beautiful landscape and with breathtaking views of the sea. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, with extra large and comfortable beds, and the bathrooms were clean and well-appointed. The service provided by the owners was exceptional, they went out of their way to make my stay memorable. The breakfast served was delicious, and the facilities, including a games room, added to the overall enjoyable experience. The location was ideal, with plenty of nearby attractions to visit.

We also appreciated the spacious sitting area and dressing area, as well as the free wi-fi, which was a convenient bonus. The soundproofed rooms ensured a peaceful and uninterrupted night's sleep. The availability of garden furniture allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel also offered free toiletries, an electric kettle, and a flat-screen TV, further adding to the convenience and luxury of our stay. The carpeted floors added a cozy touch, and the outdoor dining area provided a lovely spot to enjoy delicious meals from the special diet menus. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The leisure garden area and TV room offered additional relaxation options, while the open-air bath facilities allowed us to unwind under the starry sky.

The owners, Lynne and Kelvin, were the epitome of hospitality and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The views from our room were breathtaking, with a balcony that allowed us to soak in the stunning scenery. The room itself was immaculate and filled with modern amenities. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning, and the gardens surrounding the lodge were a sight to behold. One particular instance that stood out was when my husband injured his back. Kelvin, being the thoughtful host that he is, provided various chairs for him to find the most comfortable seating option. He even offered a heated water bottle for pain relief. That level of care and attention truly made us feel like valued guests. Despite some rainy weather, we were still able to enjoy the lodge and all it had to offer. The owners even surprised us with a complimentary homemade pizza and wedges for dinner, which was a delightful treat. we cannot recommend this lodge enough. It exceeded all of our expectations, and we will definitely be returning for another relaxing getaway.
