We had such a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The location was perfect, just off the highway, which made it easy for us to explore the area. The hotel grounds were beautiful, with lovely gardens where we could sit and relax. Our room was tidy and had everything we needed, from a comfy bed to a well-supplied kitchenette. The service was top-notch, with the friendly reception upon arrival and informative hostess. We also appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of our room, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Finding the recycling bins was a bit challenging, but it wasn't a big issue as we could have simply asked for assistance.

This hotel offers great value for money with its affordable prices and attention to detail. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with comfy beds and great facilities, including a kitchen, separate toilet and bathroom, and even a bath. The staff are friendly and informative, providing excellent service. The location is also a plus, being close to the railway and State Highway 1, making it convenient to explore the surrounding area. Additionally, the hotel is situated on a lovely garden, adding to the pleasant atmosphere.

Everything about this hotel was perfect and exactly what I needed.

The Commodore Motor Lodge in Ashburton exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. My room was comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. The TV had a great selection of channels, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The towels were changed daily and the seating options were plentiful. I especially enjoyed the fantastic plum tree at the back which allowed us to enjoy delicious fruit for the rest of our trip.

I had an unexpectedly long stay at Commodore Motor Lodge due to the closure of the State Highway. Despite the circumstances, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. The owners were incredibly kind and understanding, going above and beyond to make sure all guests were taken care of. They provided updates on the road closure and were flexible with our uncertain departure plans. The kitchen had everything we needed and the nearby supermarket made it convenient to cook our own meals. I highly recommend this hotel for its cozy and comfortable accommodations and the exceptional hospitality of the owners.
