The chalet offers spacious accommodations with comfortable beds, perfect for low-budget travelers. The well-maintained garden grounds create a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant serves excellent food, providing a top-quality dining experience. The staff at the reception were accommodating, allowing us to check in early and providing us with towels and a welcome coffee. The location is amazing, especially for those walking the first leg of the Queen Charlotte Track. The lodge also has lovely grounds and a fabulous deck for relaxing and enjoying a beverage.

The noise from people walking around in the rooms above ours was unacceptable, especially considering we were in a premium accommodation option. the blinds in our room were in poor condition and didn't function properly, making it difficult to have privacy.

My recent stay at a lodge in the stunning Marlborough Sounds was absolutely amazing! The location was breathtaking, with beautiful grounds and comfortable chalets, perfect for unwinding after a long day of hiking. The food at the restaurant was delicious, although a bit on the pricey side. I also appreciated the bug zappers in the rooms, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep without any unwanted guests.

There were a few minor issues that could use some attention. The blinds in my room were in need of repair and didn't function properly, which was a bit frustrating.

We recently stayed at Furneaux Lodge for a few nights to celebrate our anniversary. The deluxe suite we stayed in was recently renovated, clean, quiet, and had a beautiful outlook. The surroundings of the lodge are absolutely stunning, and we enjoyed walks along the Queen Charlotte track. The staff were all friendly and helpful, particularly the barman who made great drinks and the women who worked hard during dinner service. The location and historic building added to the charm of our stay.

The location of this lodge is great, with stunning views and a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy nature. The rooms are comfortable, with comfy beds and ample windows to take in the surroundings. The staff provides outstanding service, making sure guests have everything they need, and the new owners have made significant upgrades to the accommodation.

I had a delightful stay at a charming lodge in an amazing location. the dinner menu was delicious and the staff were attentive. the grounds were lovely, and there was a fabulous deck outside the restaurant where I enjoyed a few beverages. the entire place was idyllic, making it the perfect spot for those walking the Queen Charlotte Track.

We did feel a bit unwelcome in the bar area, despite spending over $1000 at the lodge. It seemed like the staff, mostly backpackers, could have been more hospitable.

We had a great post-hike snack and beer at the restaurant. The French fries were delicious and the portion size was generous. The beers were refreshing and reasonably priced, considering the remote location. The restaurant area had a beautiful view.
