Incredible staff! We had an issue with our room safe and the front desk immediately addressed it. The location is excellent, with the park in front and downtown attractions within walking distance. The bed and linens were comfortable, and the room was tastefully furnished. I'll recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring everything in-and-around this city. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the exquisite food at the restaurant and the special little touches like the fruit bowl, bed turn down service, and chocolate by the bed each night. The free bike hire and ample parking were also great bonuses.

the george never disappoints. after our last stay in christchurch, we had high expectations and they were exceeded. from the friendly staff to the immaculate room, everything was perfect. the food was superb and the little touches, like chocolates and a teddy bear, made it extra special. we can't wait to go back.

shower could use an upgrade

Great location in the heart of the city. Close to the museum and reasonably priced. the restaurant served delicious food for both breakfast and dinner.

The room was small and outdated. the heat pump made a lot of noise which kept me awake at night.

The hotel is conveniently located near the centre of town, just across from Hagley Park. Guests can easily visit the nearby museum and enjoy a scenic walk through the park. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with elegant decor and clean bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for sightseeing. The on-site bistro serves delicious meals for breakfast and lunch. it is a great place to stay and explore the city.

There is no margarine option available for lactose intolerant guests.

The welcome drinks were a nice touch and the staff were friendly. the location was great, right by a park and easy to walk to the centre. the room was spacious and comfortable with good tea and coffee facilities.

The reception staff were very pushy when it came to payment, even though we had already paid nearly $1000. It was not handled well and left a bad taste in our mouths.
