This hotel offers fantastic value for money with its affordable prices. The attention to detail in the rooms is impressive, with wonderful art pieces and creative decor. The location right on the beach allows for breathtaking views of the ocean. Additionally, the breakfast provided is delicious and offers a variety of options.

An incredibly hospitable owner made our weekend one of the best experiences we've ever had. The location was perfect-- not too close to the hustle and bustle of the city but not too far from several dining options. The room was furnished with stylish and comfortable pieces, and the amenities were top-notch. We also enjoyed the stunning views of the sunset from our room.

With such an amazing experience, we cannot think of any negative aspects. We had a great weekend enjoying the luxurious features of our accommodation.

I absolutely loved my recent stay at Kapiti Waves Beach Retreat. The location was easy to find and offered stunning sea views. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated with unique artworks. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in while traveling. I was delighted to find chocolates, wine, fresh flowers, and even candles in the room, which made me feel truly special. The breakfast provided was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious food options. The host, Elsie, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, even adding extra touches like complimentary goodies and a personalized card for my wedding anniversary. The attention to detail and care put into every aspect of my stay truly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Kapiti Waves Beach Retreat and would love to return in the future.

What a great little place! Literally on the beach, quiet yet close to Wellington. Self-contained with DIY breakfast. Slept with the door open and woke up to the sound of waves. Lovely host, 10/10 for design, comfort, and cleanliness. Thoughtful extras like snacks and drinks available. Peaceful spot near the highway to explore Kapiti coast.

The location of this budget beach retreat is truly stunning, with the beach just a stone's throw away. You can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing and wake up to them in the morning. The proximity to the highway also makes it convenient for exploring the beautiful Kapiti coast.

The room could use some improvements in terms of cleanliness.
