Well-located hotel with good amenities available.

Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn that parking spaces were no longer available, despite the previous first-come-first-served policy. To make matters worse, I found the reception staff unfriendly, which really set a negative tone for my stay.

The highlight of my stay was the spacious junior suite with a stunning view across the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience enjoyable.

However, the hotel felt quite dated, with limited lighting and decor that could use a refresh. The mattress was soft but made sleeping comfortably difficult due to noise from the pipes.

the kingsgate hotel had a great location with stunning views over the town. the balcony offered fresh air, perfect for relaxation. i loved the comfy pillows and bed, and the free sky movie channels on the tv were a nice bonus. breakfast was delightful with various options including porridge and fresh fruits.

The location is excellent, just a short walk to the city center, though the return trip is uphill, providing some unexpected exercise. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, with a great selection including traditional meals like scrambled eggs and bacon. Unfortunately, parking was a challenge due to limited space, especially for larger vehicles, and the smell of cooking oil from the kitchen occasionally wafted into the room.

Time for a refresh!!! The corridors need serious cleaning and the room lights are nearly nonexistent. The balcony doors rattle all night, curtains are torn, and parking is a hassle for larger vehicles!!!

The location is convenient, though parking can be a hassle. I opted for allocated parking, which was necessary. Breakfast offered a good variety, including eggs, bacon, and fruits, making for a satisfying start to the day. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great vibe overall. Staff were friendly, although the reception experience could have been better during check-in.

The room was cozy and comfortable, y’all! Had a lovely view of the city and the staff were friendly as a summer picnic. Breakfast was a real treat with porridge and all those toppings. Just wish I couldn’t hear folks next door so well. Might wanna work on the noise issues for sure.

Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, with a large flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi made my stay enjoyable while the 24-hour reception was incredibly convenient for any last-minute needs.

the kingsgate hotel has a prime location with a short stroll to many restaurants and cafes. the staff were super helpful, and the continental breakfast offered a great variety. housekeeping was efficient and attentive.

room temperature was a bit warm at times. 😞

I enjoyed my stay here, especially dining at the local restaurant. The steak and seafood were fresh and delicious. I also appreciated having a good view from my room. I encountered an issue when checking in as the staff seemed distant, which was disappointing. However, the warm hospitality from others made up for this. It was nice to explore the city and visit local attractions.
