The location of the motel is ideal for those who enjoy white water activities, as it is close to the river which was flowing pretty fast. Additionally, it is conveniently situated near various tourist attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the bathroom facilities are well-maintained.

The service at the restaurant in the evening during the meal was disrupted when around 20 military guys entered with their automatic guns, causing discomfort for some guests.

The value for money was great, considering the cozy and warm room we got. The location was excellent, and the staff treated us perfectly.

The staff was not welcoming or friendly, and seemed disinterested in providing good customer service. This unpleasant encounter left us feeling undervalued as customers and made our overall stay less enjoyable.

Mataki Motel provided us with a warm and comfortable room, complete with a living room, dining area, well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely bathroom. the bed was extra comfy and the room was warm upon our arrival, which was perfect for us coming from a tropical climate. the location was great, and we appreciated the spotlessly clean room and the proprietor's attention to detail, like turning on the heater for our comfort.
