We stayed in a comfortable room with a large bed and a spacious bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in early. The location was great, just a short walk to the town center and with excellent views of the lake from the guest lounge. The breakfast had a small selection, but it was enough to fill us up. Compared to staying in a hut on a campsite, the Melbourne Lodge was a much more comfortable and convenient choice.

The glassware in our room needed a proper wash.

We were delighted with our stay at Melbourne Lodge! The location was fantastic, just a short walk down the hill to the beautiful lake. Our room had a stunning lake view, and it was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, and we had access to a shared bathroom which was well-maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early. We loved the terrace overlooking the lake and the guest lounge with a kitchenette, where we could make breakfast and enjoy the breathtaking view. Plus, the free parking was a great bonus.

Stayed at a charming lodge with a great location near the town center. the old stone church next door added to the charm. I cycled through the Queenstown Gardens and took a less steep route to the lodge. the twin/double room/studio was comfortable and had a reasonably-sized fridge. the shared lounge had cooking facilities and a lovely deck with a nice view and BBQ. the reception staff were friendly and accommodating. the facilities were good and the single room had nice extras like a dressing gown and reading light. the view from the lounge was lovely. Comfort levels were great with a decent room size and clean bathroom with good water pressure.

We stayed at a cosy and comfortable lodge close to town. the staff were super friendly and accommodating. the common areas were well-equipped with fridges, a microwave, air fryer, and a bench top oven. the shared bathrooms were clean and I never had to wait for a shower. It was a short walk to town and the bus stop. I enjoyed meeting other solo travelers in the common room. the hydro spa was fantastic! it was a great deal for the convenient location.

I had a great stay at Melbourne Lodge. The en suite room I stayed in was excellent, clean, and bright with a small garden terrace. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the center of town. The staff was always polite and helpful, especially Jag, the manager.

Breakfast delights, but it would be even better with more variety.
