i had a fantastic time staying at the novotel for 3 nights during cyclone gabrielle. the staff were exceptional, extending our stay due to the storm. the rooms were modern, spacious, and comfortable. the restaurant and bar were impressive, and the hotel's central location was convenient for our weekend plans. the room amenities, including tea and coffee, were a nice touch, and the bathroom shower was excellent. overall, a top-notch experience with great service and facilities.

Novotel in Taranaki impressed with superb dinner, high food standards, and dark, quiet rooms. Appreciated noiseless fridge.

The hotel was nice and clean, but the shower was quite narrow. The location felt isolated, requiring driving for activities. Staff were accommodating, with special mentions to Amy and Ralph. Room cleanliness and comfort were highlights, although some noise from adjoining rooms was disruptive. Pricing discrepancies and small milk bottles were minor inconveniences overcome by great service.

The hotel is conveniently located on a busy state highway, making it easy to find a park. It is also close to everything New Plymouth has to offer, including the city centre. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and offer a great value for money. Guests have praised the comfortable beds with no partner disturbance and the availability of extra pillows upon request. The bathroom features a great white light and a powerful 2200w hairdryer. The air conditioning is also excellent.

The hotel has limited car parks available.

I keep returning for weekends as it has everything I need: Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, fitness centre, sauna, and great dining. At my first stay, the staff helped find my lost necklace. With air conditioning, no pets, and no smoking, this place suits me perfectly.

Great location and impeccable service.

Although there were a few minor setbacks, such as the absence of fresh coffee and makeup remover wipes in the room, the hotel made up for it with its excellent bar and restaurant offerings, complete with room service. Additionally, the undercover parking ensured convenience and peace of mind.

The holiday season is a time of joy and celebration, unfortunately, our recent stay fell short of our expectations. the location of the hotel, in terms of accessibility to local attractions and city center, was a plus point. We were also glad to have access to a fitness center to continue our workout routines.

Sadly, our room did not meet our expectations, and the lack of a scenic view from our window was a disappointment for my family, particularly at Christmas time, where a view of the city skyline would have been lovely. we were charged extra fees that were not included in our reservation, which unfortunately impacted the holiday spending budget.

The shower was amazing. Room was excellent. Dinner was superb. Breakfast was varied. Undercover parking. Quiet room with no view.

Spacious room with king-size bed, comfy armchairs, and coffee table. Good cooked breakfast. About 40-60 mins to Mt Taranaki. Staff, especially Taylor, in the dining room were pleasant. Excellent location, clean and inviting room, comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious and quiet room, inviting public areas, nice beachside areas.
