We got great value for our money at Oak Lodge in Greymouth. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was peaceful and beautiful. The staff treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Fantastic location for exploring the area, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. the property is well-maintained and clean, offering a range of amenities such as a washing machine and a kitchen with all the essentials.

Our room didn't have an en-suite bathroom, which was a bit disappointing. Although we had a separate bathroom across the landing, we were conscious of potentially disturbing other guests when using it during the night.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel just outside the city. The location was peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful view across the fields. The hotel facilities were great, with a lovely lounge and a huge balcony where we enjoyed homemade cake and tea. The staff, specifically Alastair and Shirley, were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They even drove us to town and to see the Pancake Rocks in Punakaiki. Breakfast was fabulous, with yummy eggs benedict and salmon. a wonderful experience.

During our two-week stay at Oak Lodge, we were amazed by the warm hospitality and considerate nature of our host, Alastair. the cottage we stayed in was spacious, well-equipped, and extremely comfortable. the king-sized bed provided us with the best sleep we had during our entire three-week trip to New Zealand. In terms of value for money, Oak Lodge exceeded all our expectations.

Breakfasts were absolutely delectable, with fresh local ingredients and the most heavenly homemade pastries. The bird symphony in the gardens was an unexpected delight. Loved chilling on the sunny balconies.

Oh, and who needs a bin or mirror in the room anyway? Not me, apparently.

The location was just right, not too far from town but still had a charming and peaceful atmosphere. The staff, including the friendly owners and their adorable dog, were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

Robin and his adorable sidekick Chico gave us the warmest welcome and showed us around the fascinating historical building. Our room was perfectly arranged and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast in the magnificent dining room was absolutely mouth-watering, with stunning views of the distant hills and Robin's beautiful garden. Robin's recommendation to visit Punakaiki was mind-blowing, one of the best decisions we made on our holiday. We're so grateful for Robin's excellent advice and for the unforgettable stay at this incredible place.

The presence of stairs, which could be challenging for guests with mobility issues. However, they do offer a ground-level cottage as an alternative.

I had the pleasure of staying at a cosy B&B on a farm, surrounded by beautiful grounds and facilities. The owners exceeded my expectations, driving me to nearby sites and trails since I didn't have a car. They even greeted me at the train station when I arrived. The highlight of my stay was definitely the delicious full English breakfast that I still can't stop thinking about. I highly recommend this place for a memorable and enjoyable experience.
