The views from the room are absolutely jaw-dropping, man! We just chilled on the armchairs watching the waves roll in. Plus, super close to the seal colony – those pups are the cutest! Defs can’t forget the lekker sundowner vibes from the nearby pub.

But the hotplates in the kitchen were a bit dodgy, had to work around it for brekkie.

It was just an excellent fit for an overnight stop in Kaikoura with definitely value for money. The view from the room was really nice and relaxing, making it a pleasant place to unwind. Just be prepared for a bit of a walk to get to town. it’s a bit far.

i was utterly appalled by the tv screen in my room, so hard to see sometimes. also, no fan for cooling? how can one enjoy a getaway without it? it was almost as if i expected a welcome gift, but you know, that would have been too much to ask, apparently. i just couldn’t bring myself to give a good review.

Renovations were taking place, and I was jolted awake at 8 am by loud jackhammers. Additionally, the heater in the room was inadequate for the cold weather, leaving me freezing and wishing I had brought an extra layer to keep warm.

the room was spacious and clean. It made for a very comfortable stay, although the lack of soundproofing was a bit bothersome at times. We were also pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the hosts were, helping us with local recommendations.

I absolutely loved the stunning views from our room! Being right across from the ocean, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets each evening. Plus, the location is fantastic, with plenty of eateries within a short stroll along the beach, making family dinners a breeze. The kitchenette in our unit was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare breakfast while gazing at the mountains.

There was some noise from neighbors which was a bit disruptive at times.

The staff is friendly and attentive, making for a truly enjoyable stay. Highly recommend for couples seeking a cozy getaway!

I truly appreciated the stunning views of the ocean and mountains from my room. The spacious layout made it comfortable for relaxing, and it was just a short walk to nice restaurants along the Esplanade.

The walls are quite thin, which meant I was frequently disturbed by loud children and early alarms from neighbors!!! The street lights hit the bedroom area brightly, so some blackout options would improve sleep quality!!! It really feels outdated and could use a refresh!!!

This was just a strong match for a holiday in Kaikoura with excellent value for money. The owners went out of their way to return our jackets we left behind at the motel, which was really thoughtful! Make sure to enjoy the mountain views while sipping your coffee in the morning.

The stunning views of the mountains and coastline were breathtaking! ! Super close to two great restaurants and just across from a lovely little beach. The staff was so helpful and friendly, making our stay enjoyable.

However, some minor road noise from the ongoing renovations was noticeable during the day.

The location is unbeatable, with stunning views of both the ocean and mountains. The spacious room was tastefully decorated and equipped with a well-stocked kitchen. However, the room did get quite warm due to the bright sun. Overall, a lovely stay in a charming spot.
