The staff were super friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. the view from my room was absolutely breathtaking, and the comfortable bed was a dream to sleep in. the pool was fantastic, and the option to use paddle boards and kayaks added an extra element of fun to my trip.

The food offerings were basic and could use some improvement. the facilities seemed a bit outdated and in need of some renovation, particularly in the rooms and shower areas.

we had a delightful stay at Resort in a beautiful location. the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. Our room was well, appointed with comfortable beds and a stunning view. the on, site restaurant served delicious meals, and we enjoyed the convenience of amenities like the Nespresso maker in the room. the general manager even provided a kind drop, off service for our excursion.

Located conveniently for Marlborough Track walkers to exchange stories at the restaurant with sky television and a beautiful sunset view from the bar. Rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and decks to relax. the restaurant offers tasty meals. the staff is friendly and attentive, and some rooms have been recently renovated.

Some aspects of the hotel, like the outdated shower facilities, may disappoint guests.

The Portage Resort in Portage was a wonderful place to stay. the staff were fantastic, and the view was amazing, and the beds were really comfortable. the pool was wonderful, and the paddle boards and kayaks kept the kids entertained. Being surrounded by nature created a relaxing environment, with easy access to the sea for swimming and the hills for exercise. the on-site restaurant provided high-quality meals, and the newly renovated reception and restaurant areas were modern and fresh. the General Manager went above and beyond to enhance my experience. Nearby landmarks like Lochmara Lodge Marlborough Sounds Wildlife Recovery Centre and Queen Charlotte Track offered unique opportunities for family bonding and exploration. the pool was in need of maintenance, which was a disappointment considering its previous brilliance. a great experience but would benefit from restoring the pool to its former state.

The Bar offered classic Kiwi “Fish n Chips”, which was a hit. the track could be completed in 3 days on a mountain bike. the Restaurant served delicious food to match with outstanding Marlborough wine list.

I had so much fun dealing with 2 vegetarian menu items, one of which made my friend and me very sick.

The Kereru rooms are spacious and bright, offering breathtaking views of Portage Bay. The contemporary ensuite and convenient amenities made our stay comfortable and enjoyable as a young family. Cons: Pool cleanliness could be improved; however, some guests might still find it enjoyable.

My recent stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful! the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. the housekeeping was top-notch, keeping our room clean and cozy throughout our visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary shuttle service, which made getting around the remote and peaceful location a breeze. the stunning views from our room were breathtaking, and the beach access allowed for some fantastic swimming right in front of the hotel. the restaurant offered delicious meals, and the bar/lounge area was a great spot to unwind with a drink while taking in the scenic surroundings. the experience exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for a longer stay.

Only downside was the pool needing a good clean, which was a bit off-putting, but overall, it did not detract from the amazing experience. Clean that pool, and this place will be truly unbeatable! 🌅
