Located on the outskirts of town, Ruapehu Mountain Motel & Lodge offers a peaceful retreat while still within walking distance of the shops and main village. Surrounded by stunning mountain views, the rooms are cozy and warm with soft and comfortable bedding. Guests can also enjoy the use of a shared lounge and big kitchen for cooking. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, providing a welcoming atmosphere for a relaxing stay.

Some noise disturbances in the afternoon and loud children nearby in the morning could disrupt the tranquility of the stay.

This hotel offers great value for money. The rooms are well-designed, with a mezzanine layout and awesome showers. I loved the double bed on the bottom level and the kitchen area in the bedroom. The location is perfect, being very close to the ski road exit and also near the main market. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay.

No improvements needed, everything was just fine.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. The 30-minute spa session was a perfect way to relax after a day of skiing. The owner was friendly and welcoming, making our stay enjoyable. The ample parking space was a plus.

Our stay was overall satisfactory. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions. We appreciated the pet-friendly policy, and the room was clean and well-maintained. the friendly staff provided prompt service and helpful directions.

Although the room had reasonable facilities, there were some aspects that could have been improved upon. Heating was via oil heaters which were not ideal for the area.
