During my recent business trip to Nelson, the director chose Heritage Hotel for our stay, and I must say, the location was fabulous. Situated close to the cathedral and various restaurants, it made exploring the area a breeze. the staff were polite and efficient, making my stay very pleasant. I was impressed by the nice options available on the pillow menu.

This was quite disappointing as it limited dining options and ambiance within the hotel itself.

I loved the plush towels and bed linen, the comfortable bed was a delightful surprise. The ideal central location made exploring easy. the pool was small, though unexpected and enjoyable. The staff lacked professionalism and many amenities were unavailable. a mixed experience worth revisiting for the excellent location and comfy rooms.

At my first stay, the staff helped with evening plans. I keep returning for a business trip—perfect spot. Offers Wi-Fi, rooftop pool, massage, sauna, laundry. Has flat-screen TV, lift, and 24-hour security. No smoking, no pets, air conditioning. I am always satisfied.

Excellent Staff and Convenient Location

The location was also very convenient, being close to the city center and local cafes and eateries. Overall, a pleasant experience despite some areas in need of maintenance and upgrades.

The entrance staircase, car, and fountain were beautiful. The plush towels and bed linen added a luxurious touch. Perfect location with helpful staff and a great coffee spot, Atom cafe.

We enjoyed the ideal location near a variety of shops and a fantastic market. the hotel beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were spacious for two people. The hotel had lovely front of house services, including a great bar attendant. Cons: Cannot find any fault; outdated rooms and furniture were not appealing.

The hotel is located right in the centre of the CBD, making it convenient to explore the variety of cafes and shops in the Nelson town centre. Additionally, it is within walking distance to the Abel Tasman national park for three days, providing easy access to nature and outdoor activities. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, providing a pleasant stay for guests. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring a great level of service. The hotel also offers a breakfast option, allowing guests to start their day off right.

The parking fees and credit card charges can be slightly irritating for guests.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The staff at the front desk were so caring and understanding, making our difficult situation so much easier. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the CBD and within walking distance to a variety of cafes and bars. The property itself is very nice, with high-quality rooms that provide enhanced comfort. We also enjoyed the delicious dinner at the dining restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs, even helping us retrieve a forgotten item and providing extra milk and coffee. The amenities, including the sauna and outdoor swimming pool, added to our overall enjoyable experience.

Nothing that I didn't like.

The bed in our room was comfortable, and the room had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was located within walking distance of cafes and shops in the city center. the hotel staff was professional and helpful.

Our weekend was ruined by the noise and discomfort of our room. We had to switch rooms due to the noise from the service area and air conditioning outlets.

We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious pastries at the Atom Cafe, located conveniently inside the Rutherford Hotel. The charming hostess made us feel welcome, and the beautiful views of the green added to the enchanting atmosphere. The prices were also very reasonable, making this cafe a must-try. I highly recommend this hotel for its delightful cafe experience.
