I recently stayed at the Barrington Motel and had a great experience. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to drop off our bags before check-in and even giving us a lift to the bus stop on our last day. The room was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a peaceful stay. It was also very clean and well-furnished, giving it a modern and inviting feel. The location was perfect, just a short stroll away from the town centre but still quiet and peaceful. The free wifi was also a great plus. Despite the rooms being next to each other, there was no issue with noise from other guests. I had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this motel to others.

I recently stayed at Barrington Motel for a night during my visit to Taupo. I was participating in the IRONMAN 70.3 New Zealand race, and the motel's close proximity to the start line was perfect. The comfortable beds and pillows made for a restful night's sleep, and the friendly staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They even helped us with sightseeing recommendations and allowed us to check out later. The homemade biscuits and milk in the room were a delightful touch. I felt like I was at a home away from home. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

The size of the one-bedroom room was quite small, with the bed positioned too close to the wall and limited space in the bathroom. the toilet cistern kept running unless manually fixed, and the shower had low water pressure.

We stayed here for one night whilst holidaying in NZ from Australia. The owners were friendly and helpful at check-in. The location of the rooms in the backyard made it very quiet for sleeping. The carpark in the backyard was handy and secure. The shower had good water temperature. The kitchen facilities were sufficient. The owners kindly did our dishes. The entry door lock worked, and the room was warm with the heater on. Great value for money.

The location of the motel is ideal, being close to the city centre and offering easy access to the beautiful lake. Guests have mentioned that it is just a short stroll to the town centre and not too far from the lake. It is a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area and enjoying all that it has to offer.

The value for money at this motel was excellent, and the room itself was cozy and clean. The location was quiet but still conveniently close to town. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing us with milk, homemade cookies, and even turning on the heaters for us.

The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was if there was a small hand basin in the bathroom instead of having to use the toilet on one side of the room and the basin on the other. However, I understand that the motel is in the process of upgrading its facilities.
