I had a wonderful Easter weekend at this lodge! The location was great, just a short drive away from Cape Reinga and the beautiful sunset views. The room and en-suite bathroom were clean and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I especially loved the communal living area, complete with a TV and a large dining table. It was like having all the comforts of home while on vacation.

There were a few minor drawbacks to my stay. The communal lounge could use some attention, but since I didn't spend much time there, it wasn't a major issue.

the perfect place for a romantic trip! the location is great for exploring 90 mile beach and Cape Reinga, with limited housing options in the area. the manager was friendly and provided helpful information, making us feel welcome and well-informed. tekao lodge exceeded our expectations and made our stay memorable.

Irene is a fantastic host, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The shared living area is spacious, with a TV, large dining table, and a well-equipped kitchen for cooking. It truly feels like a home away from home. The email communication before arrival was helpful, providing information about payment options and the lack of nearby shops. The lodge's location is great for those heading to the top of NZ, with easy access to Cape Reinga and other nearby attractions.

The rooms had a slight smell of mold, which was a bit unpleasant. there was a lack of condensation fans in the bedrooms and bathroom, which could have improved the overall comfort and air quality.

We got great value for our money at this basic, reasonably priced accommodation. The room and en-suite bathroom were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting Cape Reinga, just a lovely 30-minute drive away. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, and she even let us use the kitchen to prepare our own meals since there were no nearby dining options. The outdoor seating area was a nice touch, and the parking was convenient and easy.

The breakfast experience could have been better with more options.
