Reception staff could have been friendlier. The ongoing renovations made the pool area unappealing and the gym was not open on weekends and public holidays.

I had a wonderful stay at The Anchorage Apartments. The apartment was spacious and had everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. The blackout curtains ensured a peaceful sleep and the location was perfect - quiet and peaceful. Despite overlooking the pool, I didn't hear any noise from swimmers and couldn't hear any road noise at all. It was a great place for a long stay.

The location of the apartments is fantastic, with the beach just across the road and being centrally located near the harbour and numerous restaurants. The rooms are well equipped, tidy, and reasonably spacious, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy the pool and sauna facilities, which were both in good condition. The apartments also offer convenient parking for guests.

Some apartments may not offer a view of the water, and upgrading to a higher floor may be necessary to have that option.

Great location and good for families. I was disappointed that the pool wasn't in use as that was one of the main reasons for choosing the accommodation. Maybe a note to say if it is open would be great. In saying that they had 2 spas available for use, which was great. We will still be back in the future. The apartments were well stocked with everything you need, and the location is great as it is close to shops. Loved staying at The Anchorage, would definitely stay again, especially if got a good price. Location was perfect, stayed twice on 2 separate occasions. First time by myself for 2 nights on level 4, awesome view of the water at the mountain on my way to a retreat. Liked it so much stayed again with my husband for 1 night on our as we traveled around the North island. Bed was comfortable, no noise so had a great sleep. Robyn staff member at the desk 1st time, very helpful. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Despite being on the roadside, the noise was minimal, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we were genuinely sad to leave.
