stayed in a lot of hotels, but this one was fantastic. cleanliness and standards mattered, spotless bathroom and lovely reception. great breakfast and lovely spot, will stay here again!

Noisy room location.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious hotel and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The location of this place is absolutely stunning, with its mesmerizing view directly across from the river. The staff provided me with fantastic service throughout my stay, from room service to housekeeping. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped, with amenities like a mini-bar, heating, and air conditioning. I also appreciated the complimentary toiletries and the free Wi-Fi in my room. The restaurant on-site had a great atmosphere, with a fireplace and a big balcony to enjoy the view. the quality of service and comfort I experienced at this hotel was top-notch.

While my stay at this hotel was mostly exceptional, there was one minor letdown. Unfortunately, the heated swimming pool was not accessible for children, which was a disappointment for families with young ones like mine.

We were delighted with our stay at the Powderhorn Chateau. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to a suite to celebrate our special occasion. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. We also enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool after a long hike. The staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was delicious. we highly recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway.

The location of the hotel was ideal for our trip, as it was so close to everything we had planned. We loved being just a short walk from the mountain and the ski bus stop, making it super convenient for all our adventures. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The staff provided excellent service, with the housekeeping and room service staff being incredibly friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfasts we ordered were delicious, and we enjoyed the beautiful view of the river from the hotel.

The receptionist we encountered upon arrival wasn't very welcoming or informative, which was a bit disappointing considering the price of the hotel. A more warm and helpful greeting would have been appreciated.

Spacious rooms with extra storage for ski equipment, complimentary toothbrush kits and nice toiletries. Great après ski vibe in a log cabin-like setting. Restaurant with fireplace, pool tables, and balcony. Close to Mt Ruapehu, perfect for skiing. 20% discount on Snow Centre hire.

Spending Christmas at this cozy hotel was such a treat! the festive atmosphere was contagious, especially with the lovely fireplace and fantastic bar service. I also loved being so close to the train station and having beautiful views of the surroundings. the pool was an excellent bonus too, and I especially enjoyed that they offered complimentary drinks and vegetarian options that weren't just your typical choices.

The room we had was a little bit noisy. We could hear some noise from the hallway and also from outside, which was slightly bothersome at night.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our holiday break memorable. They were attentive and provided exceptional service. The hotel facilities were excellent, including the indoor heated pool which was a great way to relax after a day of skiing. The location of the hotel was perfect, very close to the station and forest walks, making it convenient for touring the area. Additionally, the cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding. We also appreciated the ample parking available.
