We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location at the foothills of the majestic Mt Ruapehu provided the most idyllic scenery we could ask for. The setting on the banks of the river added an extra touch of tranquility to the experience. The service and hospitality were exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The housekeeping and laundry services were efficient, and the airport shuttle made our arrival and departure seamless. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink upon arrival, which was a lovely gesture. The hotel also provided pet amenities, which was a pleasant surprise for our furry friend. The tours and ticket assistance offered by the hotel made it easy for us to explore the surrounding area and its attractions. The room amenities, including ironing facilities, heating, and tea and coffee facilities, added convenience to our stay. The sitting area and terrace provided a beautiful space to relax and enjoy the stunning views. The dining table allowed us to have meals in the comfort of our room, and the patio with garden furniture was perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The complimentary toiletries and electric kettle were nice touches. The shared kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to prepare our own meals. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with electric blankets ensuring a warm and restful sleep. The flat-screen TV and carpeted floor added to the overall comfort and ambiance of the room. The bar/lounge area and picnic area/tables were great spots to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The leisure facilities, such as the jacuzzi and spa center, were a wonderful way to relax and rejuvenate. The beach umbrellas and sun loungers provided the perfect setting for soaking up the sun. The outdoor dining area was a great spot to enjoy a meal amidst nature. this place exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, service, and location, and we would highly recommend it to families.

Had a decent time during Christmas at this hotel. the room was okay, and they had a pretty good view of the nearby mountains. the hotel staff were helpful when we needed directions around town and even suggested a great restaurant we wouldn't have found otherwise. Plus, the pool was a great way to cool off on hot afternoons.

Not everything about our stay was great. the hotel was farther than we expected from the town center and hiking trails, making it hard to get around without a car.

The location of the hotel is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of the town center. The hotel is situated in a beautiful rural setting with stunning views of the mountain. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with well-equipped bathrooms. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, making sure that every guest feels welcome. The included breakfast is delicious and there are various facilities available, such as a hot tub and a veranda seating area to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

One downside is the limited number of restaurants in the vicinity.

Beautiful main lodge, cozy chalet with big room and clean bathroom. Daniel went above expectations, lit fireplace before arrival, prepared lovely breakfast, even washed car. Fantastic stay with wintery feel and idyllic location. Hot tub and breakfast were bonuses. Clean and spacious rooms with necessary amenities. Brilliant host with plenty of area knowledge. We will return in summer.
