The location of the hotel is a bit inconvenient, as it requires driving across a narrow bridge to reach the city centre and some restaurants. However, it is conveniently situated for visiting attractions like Hobbiton and the Glow Worm Caves. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, providing a pleasant stay. Additionally, the hosts are friendly and go the extra mile to ensure a great experience, offering fresh baking upon arrival and being helpful throughout the stay.

The shower does not have hot water for a long time, requiring guests to turn it off between lathering and rinsing.

We were immediately captivated by the beautiful character of this villa. The garden was immaculate and the interior was spotless. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. We also appreciated the extra heating provided. We were able to easily check-in and the hosts were welcoming. despite a few minor inconveniences, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Villa Shakespeare.

The bed was a bit too hard for our liking, but we managed by using extra bedding. Additionally, the lack of window nettings meant we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy, which made the room quite dark during the day.
