The food was absolutely delicious, especially the steak and ale pie. the portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. the staff were friendly and helpful, even packing us a lunch for our early train departure. the bed in our room was huge and very comfortable. the views from the garden were stunning and made for a relaxing atmosphere. a great place to eat and stay.

The breakfast room was also a bit chilly in the morning. It would have been nice to have more temperature control options.

I had a lovely stay at a charming village pub with delicious food. The twin room was spacious and the meals were reasonably priced. The bar staff, Ying, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this place for a wonderful experience.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable overnight stay at Castle Inn. The friendly welcome, rigorous cleanliness, and generous portions of excellent food made my stay even more delightful. The walk through the community orchard and woodland to the hilltop fort provided a breathtaking panoramic view of the valleys and hills. The hotel's immaculate facilities, secure parking, and beautiful countryside surroundings added to the overall enjoyable experience. The large mugs provided in the room for tea were a nice touch, and the vegetarian options on the extensive menu were impressive.

Stayed at a charming British pub in a peaceful location. the pub offers a wide range of delicious British and Continental dishes. Was pleasantly surprised by the spacious bedroom with scenic countryside views. the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Despite ongoing renovations, it did not disrupt our stay. Will definitely be returning later this year. Convenient parking available.
