I had a wonderful stay at Awa Motel. The staff, reception, cafe, and acceptance were all very good. It made me feel comfortable and at ease. The surroundings were great - clean and ready. My husband and I have stayed here multiple times and we always enjoy the privacy of the microcabins, especially Cabin 39. The location was perfect and easily accessible to the town and the trips we wanted to do in the area. The link with the White Island tour company was excellent and they communicated well with us, even offering alternatives when there was a technical issue. We also enjoyed the lovely walks, good restaurants, and plenty of entertainment within easy reach. The on-site cafe at the motel was a great bonus. Parking was ample and conveniently close to our room. I highly recommend Awa Motel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The location is great, on a quiet road close to restaurants and the waterfront, and directly opposite the boat departures for White Island. It's also convenient for beach town shopping. The friendly staff made us feel welcome throughout our time at the motel. We appreciated the small touches like the provision of milk and access to a laundry room. The location of the motel was ideal, just a short walk from the town center and local attractions. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to Mataatua Marae and the guided tour, which we highly recommend. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the sheets were luxurious. We also appreciated being allowed a late check-out upon request.

The facilities provided were top-notch, including room service, dry cleaning, and laundry. The room itself was well-equipped with amenities like ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, and tea and coffee facilities. I also appreciated the spacious sitting area and dining table. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home.
