Stayed at a large comfortable room with excellent heating and a private bathroom. the kitchen facilities were great and conveniently located right outside was the parking area. the location was very close to the main town. Enjoyed the free wifi, which is a rarity in New Zealand. the spacious kitchen had plenty of fridges and freezers and was well-equipped. We also made use of the pool table and games in the common area. Another bonus was the free sauna available for use. Highly recommended if visiting or coming from the Franz Josef Glacier. a spacious and comfortable stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel in Franz Josef. the kitchen was great, with plenty of fridge and freezer space, and I loved having my own personal cubby holes. the bathrooms were clean and well set up, and I particularly enjoyed the sauna, which I used every night. the location was perfect - right in town but tucked away on a quiet street, so there was no street noise.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Fabian, who gave us amazing advice for our road trip. The common areas were spacious and cozy, perfect for relaxing on rainy days. The kitchen was well-stocked and kept clean and tidy. The showers and toilets were top-notch, providing a great level of comfort.

Yha was a really great hostel. the kitchens were huge and well stocked, the bathrooms were clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. the receptionist was not only super friendly, but also a talented artist. the lounge area had a fireplace, pool, and movie room. We especially appreciated their conservation efforts, from solar panels to eco-friendly shower heads.

The location of this hotel is great, right in the heart of town and walking distance to everything. the common area with the fireplace is perfect for hanging out and relaxing. They also offered a free dinner and breakfast which was a nice bonus. the rooms were comfortable and had good amenities.

As a hotel industry professional, I pay close attention to customer service, and the young man from Ireland at Yha was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hostel provided all the facilities we needed, and it was great to see people cooking and enjoying meals together, including a Christmas meal. The location was convenient, with a short walk to the township, and the showers had amazing water pressure and temperature. The hostel had a welcoming atmosphere, and waking up to the birds and balcony view was a wonderful experience.
