yha exceeded my expectations during this romantic trip. their staff was welcoming and the shared kitchen had stunning views. the lake view room was amazing.

I had an amazing stay at Yha in Lake Tekapo. The location was absolutely stunning with a beautiful view of Lake Tekapo. The hostel itself was modern and clean, providing all the facilities I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcomed throughout my visit. I also appreciated the convenience of being able to leave my luggage before and after check-in/out. I had a great experience at Yha and would highly recommend it.

The only drawback I experienced was the lack of soundproofing in the hostel. There was a large hockey group staying at the same time who were quite noisy, and the sound traveled easily through the halls.

The room was freezing cold and the provided heater did not warm up the room effectively, resulting in an uncomfortable night's sleep. The lack of napkins or paper towels in the kitchen made it difficult to clean up properly, and the cloth dish towels were not changed frequently.

We had an amazing experience at Yha! the location was perfect, right in front of the lake, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the room was spacious and comfortable, with great heating and a cozy bed. We also loved the stunning view from the common kitchen/dining area, which was well-equipped. Even though there was refurbishment happening, it didn't affect our stay. the hostel provided fast, unlimited wifi and the shared bathrooms were clean. we were very impressed with the facilities and would definitely choose to stay here again.

I've stayed in countless hostels worldwide, but this one stands out as truly exceptional. the rooms may be compact, but they are thoughtfully designed with all the necessary amenities like lockers, bedside lights, and plugs. the bathrooms are impeccably clean, and the kitchen facilities are top-notch, making eating out unnecessary. the location is simply unbeatable, right on the lakefront with an unobstructed view. YHA Tekapo provides a stellar experience with its comfortable accommodations, well-maintained facilities, and a prime location.

The rooms can get uncomfortably hot as there is no air conditioning available.

As a solo traveler, I absolutely loved the spacious dorm room with comfortable bunk beds and individual outlets. The fully equipped kitchen and big dining area were perfect for cooking and meeting other guests. The location near the lake, church, and supermarket was convenient and everything was within walking distance. The friendly and helpful staff made my stay even better.

The ensuite toilet/shower was clean and spacious, providing us with a comfortable stay. Additionally, the location was excellent, with nearby restaurants, takeaway places, and a grocery store. We were also grateful for the off-street parking and the large grounds at the back for outdoor activities. we highly recommend this hostel for its great facilities and amazing view.

I recently stayed at Yha in Lake Tekapo for a few nights and it was perfect. The dorm room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and individual plugs. The kitchen was big and fully equipped, and there was a supermarket and restaurants nearby. The location was also great, just a short walk from the beautiful lake and the Church of the Shepherd. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

I had such a wonderful stay at this breathtaking lakeside location. The views were absolutely unbeatable, and I could hardly tear my eyes away. The facilities were impressive, and everything was well-maintained. The only minor drawback was that the bed was a bit too firm for my liking, but that's just a personal preference. The noise from the nearby lounge was completely blocked out when I closed my room door, so it didn't bother me at all. I highly recommend this amazing place for its stunning location and great facility.
