cozy communal spaces, private comfortable rooms, friendly & helpful staff. haka house in wellington has consistently exceeded my expectations. this time, during a group visit, the excellent location, huge kitchen, and social space stood out.

unreliable hot water

The room was cozy with a private bathroom, a fluffy queen-size bed, and free WiFi. As a family, we felt right at home and enjoyed the convenience and comfort.

Some maintenance needed, like a fridge door that wouldn't close completely.

During my stay at Haka House, I enjoyed a short weekend trip and was impressed by the ultra-modern rooms that come with personal lights, plugs, and privacy curtains. the facilities were spotless, with excellent shower pressure and hot water. Its central location allowed for easy access to major attractions and a conveniently located supermarket right across the street. the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, and the reception staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The shower room is a game-changer; super clean, separate shower area, and a spot for your stuff - it made my New Zealand showers the best! the vibe in the lounge and dining areas was fantastic, cool with all the lights and plugs by the beds. the location was spot-on, near all the good spots - just a bummer they didn't follow up on my late check-in request, though it all worked out in the end. 🌟

Prime location close to the waterfront and Te Papa museum. Spacious kitchen facilities available. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great proximity to a supermarket. Suitable for short stays.

The location was great, close to the city center and vibrant bars. the showers had excellent water pressure and were always hot, providing a nice relaxing experience after a day of exploring the city.

There were various maintenance issues that needed attention, such as a leaking ceiling in the kitchen and malfunctioning elevators. the beds were not very comfortable, typical for a hostel setting.

haka house was sparkling clean - super nearby to buses and te papa museum. learned cool local tips. staff went above and beyond - shoutout to elias who was so friendly and helpful, and they even gave out earplugs to keep the noise down.

The location of the accommodation is prime, with a supermarket right in front, providing easy access to everything you could need. the accommodation is conveniently close to the Interislander Ferry Service, making travel a breeze. the spacious kitchen and various communal areas offer ample space for socializing and relaxing.

Some guests raised concerns about the elevator's safety.

The database provided was extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it a breeze to access all necessary information quickly. the cozy and comfortable room made for a relaxing stay, despite being a bit small for my 6ft 3 frame.

I noticed a few areas in the database that could have been cleaner and more organized, which would have enhanced the overall experience.

We found the location convenient, being across from a New World supermarket. the cleanliness of the hotel facilities was exceptional. Convenient parking for our vehicle. Easy access to transportation and a short walk to the museum and waterfront.
