We loved the authentic Omani experience at The Old House. The rooms were clean and cosy, and we even had a small terrace. The garden was stunning, and the guided tours and meals were excellent.

Limited amenities, but cosy terraces. Loved the homemade food. Sweet, helpful, and informative family owners. Involve yourself and enjoy the surroundings. Perfect for a road trip experience. For the price we paid, we got great value and the room was cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect, nestled in a quaint village with breathtaking views. The staff at the hotel were welcoming and professional, making our stay memorable.

The location is perfect, as it is in the more quiet part of the town, closer to the valley. I was fascinated by the hotel's proximity to the edge of the falaj irrigation system, which provided a spectacular view. The hotel itself was cozy and had a traditional interior, transporting me back in time. The basic amenities were well-maintained, and I particularly enjoyed the rooms with shared bathrooms. The little windows in the rooms overlooked the garden, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of delicious breakfast options available. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay.

We spent New Year's Eve in a charming guesthouse tucked away in a rural valley. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The view from the rooftop terrace was breathtaking. They provided complimentary tea and dates upon arrival and an unexpected dessert with dinner.

The food did not live up to our expectations. It was lackluster, disappointing and didn't offer many traditional Omani options.

I had the most amazing time staying at this hotel. The location was incredible, nestled right in the heart of a small ancient village. The hotel facilities were simple and clean, and I loved the fact that there were footpaths winding through the village, making it easy to explore. The view from the rooftop was absolutely fabulous, and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquility. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the owner who went above and beyond to assist us with hiking the nearby w9 path. The food at the hotel was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffets. this was the best stay I've had in the mountains and far better than staying in the hot and dusty plain.

The property itself is charming and authentic, with original rooms that provide a unique sleeping experience on comfortable mattresses on the floor. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The highlight was definitely the dinner, which we enjoyed after watching a beautiful sunset. The view from the upstairs restaurant was incredible, with stunning vistas of the surrounding mountains and date trees below. We also appreciated the reliable wifi that was available in the evenings.
