Charming historic building, central location, beautiful room with a view, helpful staff, tasty breakfast.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the very city center of Coimbra. The location was superb, as we were near everything in the old center and in the tourist district. The hotel's cleanliness was impressive, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was satisfying and there were plenty of facilities available. Additionally, transportation was convenient with bus and train stations nearby.

Conveniently located near train station and taxi stand. Beautiful views of the river from the spacious rooms. Historical charm and Art Deco influence add character. Friendly and helpful staff. Honesty Bar in the comfortable lounge is a nice touch.

We stayed at a hotel that boasted a great location, with easy access to public transportation and the historical downtown area. The carpets in the hallways and rooms were tired and in need of a deep cleaning.

I had a really good stay at this hotel. the location was amazing, right in the city center and close to the train station. It made it so convenient to explore the city and also to travel further afield. Secondly, the rooms on the narrow front facade had great views and were quite cozy. The classic furniture added a nice touch to the overall ambiance. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious with fresh bread and good hot coffee. They offered many options in a great salon.

All in all, everything was okay.

I had a stay at a charming hotel in a historical building. The hotel had a lovely old-world feel, with beautiful period features. Despite some tiredness in the rooms, the reception staff were helpful and prompt. The location was excellent, and I enjoyed the view from the 4th floor. I would recommend this hotel for those who appreciate the grandeur of the past.

stayed in Coimbra before, but Astoria exceeded expectations. Charming decor, clean room, and amazing river views. Breakfast in beautiful dining room was a highlight.

The hotel had a great central location, close to the main plaza and within walking distance of the university, which was very convenient. the view from the windows was panoramic and enjoyable.

The rooms were very outdated and shabby, with uncomfortable beds and small pillows that had definitely seen better days. the carpets and walls were dirty and in need of a good cleaning.

Hard to think of anything.

This hotel is a great value for money with basic amenities and clean rooms. The location is unbeatable, right on the river and in the center of town with easy connections out to major highways. The staff provides excellent service and is very attentive. The breakfast offered many options in a great salon with fresh bread and good hot coffee included. Our room had single beds but a great view and an enclosed balcony to enjoy it from.

This hotel is perfect for those who want a turn-of-the-century experience. The location is ideal - close to the train station, overlooking the river, and within walking distance of all the sights. The staff are friendly and the basic amenities are in good condition. The rooms offer a lovely view of the river, compensating for their smaller size. The breakfast spread is excellent, with pastries, eggs, meat, cheeses, yogurts. Considering all this, it offers great value for money.

The hotel could benefit from some loving restoration and updating.

Nothing to dislike.

We loved the Art Nouveau atmosphere and original features of the Astoria. Our room was charming and comfortable, with period fittings and a balcony. The vintage dining room was a highlight, with beautiful lamps and wooden panelling. Despite the lack of wifi in our room, we enjoyed a buffet-style breakfast each morning. a memorable stay.

The room felt dirty with stained carpets and old furnishings. the staff seemed uninterested in providing good customer service and were not very friendly.
