We stayed in the hills above a beautiful city, with the hotel located in an ancient forest. We were fortunate to spend a few sessions in the restaurant, which is beautifully designed and overlooks a distant country. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very helpful during our stay, showing us around the grand rooms and ornate details.

The rooms were on the tired and worn side and the soundproofing is terrible, making it difficult to sleep at night.

I especially enjoyed the incredible night sky from the hills above Coimbra, it was simply mesmerizing. The grounds of the hotel were also well-maintained, adding to the overall beauty of the place. The breakfast served was good with a sufficient choice of options.

We stayed at Palace Hotel Do Bussaco for one night and had a magical experience. The spacious room and enormous bathroom were luxurious, and the longest bath I've ever had! The ornate architecture and decor were stunning, capturing the grandeur of its original purpose. The beautiful dining room, drawing room, and terrace all offered breathtaking views of the forest and countryside. The location in the primeval forest was surreal and felt like something out of a fairytale. The staff were courteous and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

I stayed at this beautiful hotel for one night and it was a great trip. The property is stunning and the surrounding gardens and forest are pleasant to walk through. The service is outstanding and the room is incredibly spacious, the largest I've ever stayed in. The bathroom is also larger than some hotel rooms I've stayed at. The hotel is situated in the middle of the Buçaco forest, making it a unique and enchanting experience. The hotel itself is a masterpiece of architecture in the Manuelini style, with great historical value.

We stayed in the monastery section and felt transported back in time surrounded by antiques and tapestries. The gardens and forest were breathtakingly beautiful for walks, though the map was confusing. The WiFi was poor but it added to the authentic feel. a charming experience.

During my Christmas stay, I was pleased with the stunning architecture and beautiful surroundings of the hotel. the historical charm of the building made for a unique and picturesque experience. Additionally, the hotel's location near the battlefield of Bussaco provided an interesting historical context for my visit. Lastly, I appreciated the friendly and enthusiastic attitude of one of the staff members, who had been working at the hotel for many years.

On the downside, I was disappointed with the outdated and worn condition of the rooms. the peeling wallpaper and non-working bedside lights were not up to the standard I expected.

Historical building with amazing stonework, set in a forest on top of a hill. Spacious rooms and bathrooms larger than some hotels. Gardens and forest offer pleasant walks, and staff is outstanding providing great service. Lovely restaurant with impressive views of the surrounding.
