The highlight of our stay at Casa Velha Do Palheiro was the exceptional food at the restaurant. Every dish, both from the Light menu and the Daily menu, exceeded our expectations. The chef's talent was evident in the consistently high quality and delicious flavors. We couldn't have asked for a better culinary experience.

This place is a paradise on earth! the venue is beautifully decorated and has a luxurious ambiance. the spa center is one of the best I have ever visited, and it offers a variety of world, class services. From the saltwater indoor pool to the sauna and jacuzzi, everything was perfect. I treated myself to a full, body massage, and it was a memorable experience that fulfilled all my exclusive amenities needs.

The only minor issue was the restaurant prices, which I find too high compared to the quality and diversity of food. the half, board menu is limited, with only one alternative for the main dish, and the a la carte options are even more expensive.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled in the hills overlooking a charming town. The colourful gardens and incredible views make it a truly picturesque location. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. The attentive and friendly staff provide excellent service throughout your stay. The breakfast spread is delicious, with a wide variety of choices including homemade pastries and jams. The hotel also offers great facilities such as an indoor swimming pool, spa, and a golf club accessible via shuttle.

The dinner options at the hotel can be quite expensive for the portion sizes offered.

Spending Christmas at this hotel was a truly delightful experience. the food was absolutely delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit, yummy cold plates and a great choice of hot breakfast items. the location was perfect for a relaxing break, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We really enjoyed sitting on the terrace, surrounded by beautiful scenery and the chirping of birds. the spa was also a highlight, offering a much-needed retreat from the chilly weather. the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

A few things could have been better. the room we were booked into had two mattresses pushed together, which was not very comfortable.

The hotel is located in a stunning area with beautiful botanical gardens that are well tended and vibrant. The cleanliness of the hotel and its facilities was impeccable. The staff were incredibly helpful and always willing to assist us with any requests or directions we needed. The breakfast spread was delicious and offered a wide variety of choices. The location was also perfect for us as we were able to explore the surrounding area easily with our hired car.
