A charming castle with a unique interior and cozy beds. We felt like royalty staying here. The breakfast in the castle was a special experience, accompanied by classical music. The staff was helpful and even packed us breakfast to go when we had an early flight. a wonderful stay at Castelo Santa Catarina. I highly recommend it.

The location was absolutely amazing! Being up on the hill provided us with stunning views of the city. The preserved historical art and authentic Portuguese décor added a unique touch to our stay. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and well-planned, providing us with a great start to our day. the exceptional service in helping us with a late-night taxi and even providing breakfast for our early airport departure was truly remarkable.

That the hotel is a bit out of the historic center and requires a walk uphill. However, this did not overshadow our overall experience.

Although there wasn't an elevator, we didn't mind the extra exercise. The walk into the main area of the city took about 15-20 minutes, but it wasn't too far and we enjoyed the stroll.

We had a great stay in a unique hotel just outside the city. The location was convenient, with the Marques metro stop just a 5-minute walk away. The room in the old part of the hotel was spotless and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a vast array to choose from, and we enjoyed the beautiful view from our tower-top room.

The area around the hotel was a bit run down, but once we looked past the mess, we could appreciate the beauty and history of the city.

We had a lovely romantic escape at a hotel with a very charming historical setting. The breakfast was amazing, served in a beautifully decorated room, and included in the stay. The hotel offered a mix of old world charm with modern updates, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

The lack of good restaurants in the nearby area. It would have been convenient if the hotel had the ability to offer meals in its beautiful dining area.

The location of the hotel was great, as it was very close to the underground station. It was also just out of the centre, which made for a peaceful stay away from all the hussle of the big city. The staff provided excellent service, with the reception staff being charming and helpful. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of choices to start the day off right.

The social bar and restaurant options were limited, which could be a downside for those looking for more dining and socializing options within the hotel.

Awesome castle museum with friendly staff, nice breakfast, and a house cat. Walking distance to city center, or close proximity to metro.
