The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to the city centre via a free bus provided by the reception. There is also a shopping centre nearby for any shopping needs. Additionally, the hotel is close to the airport, making it convenient for budget travelers.

The hotel could improve by addressing the noise issue from the building works going on nearby.

The room had a fantastic view/balcony overlooking the city and bay, comfortable beds, and a bonus kitchen for snacks and drinks. The daily cleaning service provided was pleasant, and the outdoor swimming pool and terrace area were very nice.

We had an amazing time at this hotel located in the heart of the tourist area. the rooms were clean and functional, with a lovely balcony to enjoy the city view. the buffet breakfast was really decent, with a good variety to choose from. we loved the fact that we could easily walk to the city center to visit the attractions and that there were bus stops nearby.

We would have loved to start our day with a refreshing swim, but the pool only opened at 10 am. although the hotel was generally well-staffed, we found that the service at the pool bar could be quite slow during peak hours.

This hotel is a great value for money! The prices are reasonable and it offers basic amenities with rooms that have adequate cooking facilities. The air-conditioning in the rooms was a nice touch, especially during the warm weather. Additionally, the hotel is located in the Lido area of Funchal, which is near the center and offers excellent views from the balcony.

my recent stay in funchal exceeded expectations. dorisol madeira was the perfect base for exploring, with a central location and sunny terrace. highly recommend using bolt for cheap transportation.

Internet connection hardly worked.

The location of this hotel was excellent, just around 5 minutes away from the sea, shops, and restaurants. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, with attention to detail and basic amenities being taken care of. The rooms were spotless and spacious, with plenty of storage space and a kitchenette for convenience. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, suitable for both vegetarians and everyone else.

I had a great experience at Dorisol. the room size was slightly better than average and the maid service was excellent, keeping it tidy every day. the hotel had two outdoor pools, one quieter for morning relaxation and one with a pool bar for afternoon fun. I especially loved my balcony with its amazing view. the beds were comfy and the room and bathroom were clean. the staff, while not overly friendly, were polite.
