I got so much value for my money at this hostel! The room was clean and comfy, and the location was perfect with a supermarket across the street and the ferry nearby. The staff treated me like a friend from the moment I arrived at Le Penguin.

The breakfast experience could have been better, with more variety and options to choose from. But overall, it didn't overshadow my enjoyable stay at this hostel.

Our stay at Le Penguin was absolutely amazing! The central location made it convenient to explore the city and the nearby supermarket was a huge plus. We loved hanging out on the terrace and bar, it was a great place to relax and meet new people. The staff was incredibly friendly and they even organized events to bring everyone together. We had a wonderful stay at this well-located hostel. Just a short distance from the bus/train station, it was convenient for our travels. The hostel had a cute and relaxed vibe, with clean rooms and bathrooms. One of the highlights was the delicious late dinners cooked by volunteers, offering a taste of cultural cuisine. If you're in the mood for some fun, the volunteers and the owner would take guests to local bars. The hostel also had a fully-equipped kitchen, a lovely chill area outside, and comfy couches inside for socializing. The staff was friendly and provided great recommendations, like where to find a cheap swimsuit. it was a great value for money and provided a homey atmosphere.

The friendly and dedicated staff made sure that my needs were taken care of. One great perk was that breakfast was included in my stay, and it was delicious. If you're in the mood for partying, the same volunteers and the owner himself will take you out to the city's local bars. The kitchen has everything you need if you feel like cooking, and there's a lovely chill area outside and comfy couches inside for socializing with other travelers. The staff is really lovely and helpful, even gave me a great recommendation for where to buy a cheap swimsuit.

As soon as I arrived at this hostel, I instantly felt the positive energy that Le Penguin exudes. The hardworking staff ensures a memorable and clean stay, going above and beyond with their shifts and attention to detail. They work with pleasure and it shows. The food served in the evenings is exceptional, eliminating the need to venture out for meals. It truly feels like being a part of a beautiful family here.

The hostel-provided breakfast was really good. The hostel was fully booked but felt empty and hard to socialize. The hostel has activities for each day but very few people attended. Great location only 10-15 min walk to the port, supermarket 3 min walk. Genuinely friendly staff that take time to play games and take you out for drinks. Super chilled atmosphere. The whole place was really clean. Toilets and bathrooms were a little old and broken but still, you feel comfortable with good hygiene. Drinks were really cheap, breakfast had all you needed. Highly recommended. The workers there are extremely friendly and trying to help you and to make your trip as much comfortable as possible :) they give you also good advice on other hostels or where you could travel after Faro. It's also really nice that breakfast is included in the price.

The hostel was very clean and cozy, with a nice bar where I could get affordable drinks. The common areas, like the living room and terrace, were also great. The best aspect was the daily dinners for just 6 Euro - the food was delicious and it was a fantastic way to meet other travelers and staff. this was one of the top 5 hostels I have ever stayed in and I highly recommend it.
