Laid back atmosphere, typical Alentejo house. Studios made from renovated horse stables. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Basic but equipped rooms, with terrace and self-service bar. Clean and large pool, bike usage available. Quiet location, short distance to beach and restaurants.

My stay at Monte Do Papa Leguas was absolutely superb. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my experience even better. The converted stables that served as rooms were beautiful and added to the unique atmosphere of the place. It's such a shame that I could only stay for one night due to my travel plans.

I recently stayed at Monte Do Papa Leguas in Zambujeira do Mar for a weekend getaway. The location is stunning, with Cabo Sardao and the scenic road to Cabo Sardao nearby. The beach in the nearby village of Zambujeira is fantastic. The staff at the guest house is incredibly cheerful and friendly. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was outstanding, with fresh and tasty options that we could enjoy either inside or outside on the large patio. Our room, number 5, was spacious and beautifully presented. The bed was enormous and incredibly comfortable. The shutters on the windows were effective in keeping the room dark, even during the day. Additionally, the guest house offers free bikes for guests to use, and there is plenty of onsite parking. The pool and surrounding deck chairs provided a perfect place to relax and soak up the sun.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing stay at this countryside retreat. The beautiful property offered a lovely pool area, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The friendly staff provided great advice on local dinner options and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with homemade cakes and marmalades. The tastefully furnished rooms had traditional bamboo rafters, and the location was ideal for those seeking a relaxing holiday.

The soundproofing between rooms was quite poor, which affected our sleep quality.

We had a wonderful time at Monte Do Papa Leguas. The place felt like home with its beautiful design, cozy furniture, and lovely flower-filled surroundings. The family-run hotel provided excellent service, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The homemade breakfast was the best we've had in Portugal, with delicious organic options and homemade treats. The pool and grounds were stunning, providing a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel also provided bikes, which we used to explore the stunning local beaches. We can't wait to come back!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The design and furniture of the room were fantastic and chosen with a lot of taste, including the biggest bed we had ever experienced. The hotel felt like home, with beautiful flowers and plants throughout, and even homemade soap in the room. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, they were incredibly nice and helpful. The high-quality breakfast consisted of homemade granola, local bread, and oat milk, which was a great start to the day.
