I was blown away by the unique charm and history of this hotel. The large brick chimney that rises in front of the reception is a testament to its past as a soap and candle factory. Each floor is dedicated to the scent and color of different flowers, which creates a soothing and aromatic atmosphere throughout the hotel. It's like stepping into a bouquet of lavender, jasmine, orange blossom, rose, cherry blossom. Staying here is like being transported to a bygone era, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of modern life.

My only regret is that I didn't have more time to fully immerse myself in the hotel's enchanting ambiance and explore all the amenities.

The pool at Pestana Douro Riverside was absolutely stunning. I loved lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the breathtaking view from my balcony. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind during my stay.

This hotel fulfilled my luxurious needs with exclusive amenities such as a spa, outdoor swimming pool, and sun loungers on the sun terrace. The staff provided impeccable service and the buffet breakfast was delicious.

The indoor swimming pool was smaller than expected, but this minor issue did not detract from the overall experience.

I recently stayed at a hotel close to the marina in Porto for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel itself is set overlooking the river, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The outdoor pool was a great place to unwind and the outdoor seating provided a perfect spot to enjoy food and drinks while taking in the beautiful views. The staff were apologetic for a hiccup at check-in and even upgraded us to a junior suite as a gesture of goodwill. The rooms were comfortable and the selection of food for breakfast and dinner was good. The staff in the dining room were helpful and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel and would choose to stay here again if I visit Porto in the future.

Everything is what I need and want.

The property had great views of the Douro and was conveniently located near key attractions. The staff were generally nice and accommodating, and the pool was a highlight with ample space for guests. Plus, the rooms were spacious and had lovely balconies to enjoy the sunset.

The staff seemed understaffed, which impacted overall service. Cleanliness was also a concern, as we had to wait for our room to be serviced until late in the day, and found stained towels and unkept areas in the indoor pool.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were fantastic, and the pool and gym facilities were great. The pool area was surprisingly spacious, much larger than we expected from the pictures. We also loved the location of this hotel, right on the river. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still conveniently close. We found it easy to get into town using Uber, which only cost us around 5 euros. Plus, there was a footpath by the river that we could walk along to reach the city, which was manageable even for moderately fit individuals. Additionally, we were very impressed with the breakfast selection and the professional and helpful staff, especially Susana in the breakfast and restaurant area, and Fabio in the lobby. we would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if we were in this city.
