The location of the hotel was great, with beautiful views of the river. It was a bit outside of the city center, but a quick and affordable Uber ride took us there. the property itself was stunning, with a fairytale-like palace and a modern accommodation block. the breakfast included in our stay was wonderful, offering a variety of options to start our day.

The rooms were a bit dark, with limited natural light and dim lamps. It would have been helpful to see the room before accepting it.

We had a wonderful weekend at a hotel that felt like our own private palace. the pool and spa were amazing, and the river view was a definite bonus. the staff was attentive to our every need, and the food was great. Plus, the price was surprisingly affordable.

One downside was that the air conditioning seemed to be turned off or down during the night, which made it difficult to sleep. Additionally, the layout of the hotel was a bit confusing, with multiple elevators and dark hallways.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and well-designed, and the palace decor was absolutely stunning. The hotel facilities, both indoors and outdoors, were charming, especially the beautiful outdoor swimming pool. The location of the hotel right on the Douro riverfront was fantastic, offering a unique and picturesque experience. The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and accommodating, making me feel like a VIP guest. The breakfast had a good variety of food options, including fruits, yogurts, and bread. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, location to the palace, and the staff were all top-notch.

We got great value for our money with a wonderful and comfortable room, including a huge bed. The location was fantastic, near the river but still easily accessible. The staff at Pestana were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We were very happy with the complimentary welcome drinks and chocolates upon arrival. the hotel’s location near the river was excellent, providing great views and a serene atmosphere. We also enjoyed the Christmas decorations throughout the property.
