Hotel in a historic fort with breathtaking ocean views. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the marina and Pico. The breakfast buffet offered delicious local produce and homemade bread. Despite some drawbacks mentioned in other reviews, we had a comfortable and charming stay. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, in an old fort, offering breathtaking views of the marina and the ocean. You can easily walk to the beach or the ferry terminal. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of closet space. The bathroom is large and well-appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing great service. The breakfast is delicious with a variety of options to choose from. The hotel also has a swimming pool with a stunning view of the harbor and Pico island.

One downside is that some rooms do not have a balcony or a view of the ocean, so it's best to request a room with a view if possible.

We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious hotel in the Azores! The location in an old fort overlooking the ocean and right by the marina was simply breathtaking. From our balcony, we had a wonderful view of the marina and the harbor, and even caught a glimpse of the Pico volcano across the straight. The setting within the stone walls of the old fort added a charming and historical touch to our experience.

Great views and ideal location. The breakfast was delicious and had good variety. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.

The decor was a bit dated, and the rooms were small and lacked some basic amenities. , the pool was not easily accessible and could use some more maintenance.

The balcony view was breathtaking, overlooking the sea, sailing boats, and the majestic Pico mountain.
