The location is stunning, surrounded by peaceful and attractive surroundings. You can relax by the pool and immerse yourself in the rich history of the Order of Malta.

One downside is the lack of hooks in the bathroom, which makes it difficult to hang towels and clothes.

Nothing I didn't like.

We had a fantastic dinner with attentive and wonderful waiter. Just walking through the front door transported us back in time to a beautiful, history-filled castle. The peacefulness of the surrounding area was a true treat. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel exceeded my expectations with its luxurious amenities and excellent service. the spa and wellness center was impressive, featuring a beautiful outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and beach umbrellas. the restaurant served delicious cuisine, including special diet menus.

The only minor issue I encountered was the location, which was a bit isolated. the leisure and TV room provided a cozy space to relax and there were plenty of activities offered within the hotel such as a sauna, Jacuzzi, and Turkish bath.

The Pousada is located in an amazing castle in the middle of the Alentejo, just a few miles away from Portalegre. It is an old monastery in a beautiful small town, surrounded by lovely landscapes. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with a touch of charm from the original building. The staff provides excellent service and the breakfast offers a variety of options. Guests can also enjoy the peacefulness of the surroundings and visit local cafes for a taste of authentic Portuguese cuisine.

Some areas of the hotel are in need of an update, particularly the outdated furniture and decor.

Spent a great weekend at a historic luxury castle/monastery/manor house. Rooms were very spacious and spotless with premium amenities. the property was very well managed with friendly staff.

The food was a bit expensive compared to other places in the region, but still tasty. the only other option for dining out was about two kilometers away and the walk to town was not enjoyable due to the many stray dogs around.
