The location of the hostel is a bit far from the city center, but the beautiful surroundings make up for it. Guests mentioned the breathtaking view of the Douro River and the iconic Luis Bridge. The hostel offers a cozy and clean shared dormitory with cleverly designed spaces that provide privacy. The common room is comfortable and the staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. The continental breakfast is good, and for an extra fee, guests can enjoy an amazing omelet.

The hostel could improve by organizing events for guests, although guests can still cook for themselves or visit nearby restaurants.

I had an amazing stay at the Fantastic hostel overlooking Porto. The design and location were perfect, and the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and quiet, and the bathrooms were clean. The terrace bar and restaurant, George, exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was satisfying, and I could order additional dishes for a small charge.

Although some rooms had a nice view, they were also toward the street where a rooftop bar played music late at night. This could be noisy for those who are sensitive to noise.

The value for money at this hostel was outstanding. The room was incredibly comfortable, with spacious beds and thoughtful amenities. The location was perfect, offering stunning views of the river and city. The staff treated me with genuine kindness and attentiveness throughout my stay.

The attention to detail in the room design is impeccable. Daily housekeeping services are provided. Plus, the view from the Gaia side is stunning, especially during sunset.

We loved the charming and historical building of Sandeman. The comfortable beds were perfect to ensure a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location was fantastic with amazing views of Porto. we highly recommend Sandeman for anyone visiting Porto.

I had an amazing stay at The House Of Sandeman - Hostel & Suites. I stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. The facilities were stunning, the shared rooms were comfortable and clean, and the bed was almost double in size. The breakfast was complete and delicious, with a stunning view of the river and city. The location was great, just a short walk across the bridge to Ribeira and Sao Bento. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a calm and cozy stay, especially if you're a solo traveler or working remotely.

Staying at this hostel during my recent city break was a fantastic experience! I loved the comfortable beds, which had privacy curtains and individual reading lights. the washrooms were always clean and stocked up with shower and body soap. the lockers were spacious enough to store my things while I was out exploring the city. the hostel is in a perfect location, just 15 minutes walk from the city center and there are several nice restaurants nearby.

One drawback was that you had to bring your own towel or pay for a towel service. the breakfast-to-go was not impressive but it was passable.

I recently stayed at The House of Sandeman and it was an incredible experience. The hotel is located in a unique setting, part of a port wine cellar, with a stunning view of the river. The rooms were super clean, and the bathrooms were large and comfortable. I was charmed by the delightful decor and the overall ambiance of the hotel. The dining room was lovely, offering delicious food, drinks, and espresso. The value for money was just incredible, and I'm extremely grateful for my stay here.

De locatie van het hotel is geweldig, midden in het historische centrum, tegenover de kathedraal en naast het paleis. De kamers zijn schoon en comfortabel, en het hotel heeft fantastische faciliteiten zoals een sauna, jacuzzi en een zwembad op het dak. Het ontbijt op het terras is heerlijk en het personeel is uiterst behulpzaam en attent.
